Alternative Methods of Treating Scars
In order to prevent permanent scarring, apply Aloe Vera as it can help prevent scar formation. One of the best home remedies is a mixture of rose water and sandalwood. Using the two products create a paste and apply it to the wound. Leave it overnight. If you would like to lighten the appearance of scars, lemon juice is the way to go. It is natural bleach that can minimize the blemish.
A good preventative measure for acne scarring is to make a mixture of boiling water and add 1 tsp. of Fenugreek. Let it boil for a couple of minutes then apply it to the skin. Another good method of preventing acne scarring is to use lavender oil. The oil is derived from the flower of a specific type of lavender. Applying honey on your face several times a day will help in the fight and give you a glow.
Cucumber juice can also be used on the affected area. Leave the solution on the scarred area for 15 minutes then remove it with cold water. It is also possible to prepare a mixture using 1 tbs. of sour cream. If you have an oily complexion, then use sour cream that has 0% fat. Add 1 tbs. of yogurt, approximately 1 tbs. of oatmeal and some drops of lemon juice. Apply the solution to the affected area and after 10 minutes rinse it off. Massaging scars can also be very helpful. Use coconut oil to help with the process, this will cause the scar to lighten but will it will not heal completely. Another way of treating scarring is to create a paste using 1 tbs. of fuller’s earth. Fuller’s earth is a type of clay material. One tsp. of lemon juice and rosewater is needed to complete the paste. Gently massage this mixture into the affected area, let dry then reapply it to the scars. Leave it for five to ten minutes then wash it off with cold water. This is a very effective way of dealing with scarring issues.
Olive oil and vitamin E will create a healthy glow. The application of this particular product will cause scarring to vanish within a short period of time. It is a very helpful cure. Use cotton balls that have been soaked in green tea or use tree tea oil, both of these methods provide alternate solutions to medication.
Using crushed mint leaves squeeze out the oil using a muslin cloth. Apply the juice to the surface of the scarred area. This will help reduce their appearance.
